I've received an email from a member about Chapter 51 of The Gnostic Mysteries of Pistis Sophia that Chris posted last week. See http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/summa-scientia/message/592.

 

This person told me that everything we do is evil. Even when we do our best to do good, we do evil. I sent a reply, which I want to share with you. The member wrote back later and said my statements have no logic. However it's good to have a discussion about this, so I''ll send it to you now, in the hope you too can think about it and see where my thoughts lack logic or whatever. I hope we can look forward to some participation.

Jan says: The evil lies in the nature of the radiation that is contrary to the radiation plan of renewal. It is evil not in the sense of wicked or perverted but in the sense of disturbing.

 

There is no such things as evil! There is only deviation from the Divine Plan. There is only cause and consequence. The word "evil" implies judgement, which is very dialectical indeed. God does not judge. Creatures who deviate from the Divine Plan simply encounter the consequences of their own actions, which are impersonal and governed by natural laws. However, there is no such thing as wickedness or pervertedness, as Jan says. These things are just concepts used by biological man to enable him to distinguish what will advance his egocentric interests and what won't.

 

I think it's better to see human actions with compassion rather than judgement. People today can't act other than the way they do. They will always be faced with the consequences and so they don't need our opinion.

 

No one is evil. We're all wayward and marionettes of the life that has resulted from the Fall. The only escape is the Fivefold Universal Gnosis:

1. Insight

2. Longing for Liberation

3. Self Surrender

4. The New Mode of Life (i.e. USING the Light withing)\

5. Liberation

 

It is true that the Divine Life can't manifest itself in this fallen dualistic universe, and so nothing we can do in this world can conform with the Divine Plan. However there isn't a sudden switch from the life of deviation, to the life of conforming. Changing from a biological mortal human to an immortal Child of God is a gradual process that can be indicated symbolically as transmuting lead slowly into gold. This is what the Fivefold Universal Gnosis is meant to achieve. You can see that step 4 is the step of action.

 

Step one is the mental step. You have to realise and understand the process.

 

Step 2 is the astral step. You have to actually yearn for it.

 

Step 3 is the etheric step. You make physical body ready to carry out the instructions given to you by the New Soul.

 

Step 4 is the physical step. You put the instructions of the New Soul, to whom you have surrendered, into actual practice in the physical world.

 

Step 5 is the result: liberation from deviating from the Divine Plan.

 

If you regard every action as evil, you'll shun from doing anything and so you'll reach a deadlock on step 4.

 

If you follow the first 4 steps properly, the New Soul will spread throughout your 4 bodies and gradually begin to fill you with gold. Your etheric and astral bodies will literally turn a golden colour.

 

Your actions still won't fully conform with the Divine Plan, but they will gradually become less and less dark, and begin to spread light of an increasingly high vibration.

 

The one and only way to change lead into gold, the only way to bring the light into the hearts of others so that they too, will begin to thirst for it, is to USE the light that is given to you for that purpose. If you don't use it it will be taken away from you.

 

Divine Man is centrifugal; biological man is centripetal in his use of light-forces. This situation has to be reversed by means of a slow process. During this process there will be many great falls and many mistakes, but the only way to become a centrifugal Cross of Light is to do your best to be that, regardless of failure.

 

My advice is: act! Put the Light to use for the liberation of others in self-denying service. No other way will work.
