Hello Everyone,
I very much enjoyed reading the posts on the Best Moment in the Harry Potter
movies. Hans' post placing it within the context of "The Chymical Wedding" was
very inspiring. Reading the posts from Hans, Chris and Alice in light of the
painting of the huge angel appearing in the first chapter of "The Chymical
Wedding" puts that scene in a new light for me. What a wonderful moment!
Still, for me, the best moment was when Harry went through the brick wall and
turned that corner and there was the Hogwart's Express. The beautiful train, the
look on Harry's face, the smoke rising from the train as the music reached a
cresendo was pure magic for me.
I experienced it in relation to this paragraph from "The Chymical Wedding"
which Hans' quoted in his introduction to the Alchemy Conference. I'm re-readig
"The Cymical Wedding" again and each time I read that paragraph, it strengthens
my faith in the Path. And, there in the movie is Harry who was searching for
something he was not even sure existed, walking through brick walls to get to
it, and then he turned a corner and it was there. It was real!
This is the paragraph from "The Chymical Wedding" -
"This book is meant to be a key to the path. Whoever realises he has received a
key also knows there will be a door into which it fits, and if there is a door
there is also a house. And we would like to make you aware of the fact that this
is the house of mankind that
Christ called "my Father's House", in which there are many mansions."
How blessed we are to have a "key." May we all turn that corner at the train
station and use the key to travel to our true destiny.
I hope if anyone on this List who has seen the Harry Potter movies has a
favorite moment they will share it.
Cathy
