Dear Members,
I have received an email from a member, and this contained the following statement:
Sorry not to have contributed much to Summa Scientia but I genuinely have difficulty understanding what exactly is meant to be happening with the site.
I'm glad this point was raised, as this gives me the chance to answer it.
Summa Scientia is not a website but a discussion group. I am pasting underneath here the aims of the group as expressed on the Home Page.
The only thing that is meant to be happening in this group is discussion. There are two ways to join in:
Reacting is much easier, and I would like to ask you all to react to posts as they're sent to you. Just press "reply" and tell us what you think. You may disagree, as long as you do so politely.
There are 42 members, and so it should be quite possible to have vigorous, useful discussions, illuminating topics from lots of different points of view.
Starting a topic sounds harder, but if you're feeling diffident about your own wisdom, try posting a quote you find helpful or profound. Even if everyone posted just once a month it would really make a great discussion group.
Let's face it, friends, we could all do a bit more to get the discussion going.
Love to you all from Hans Objects of the group:
This is a group under the aegis of "Harry Potter for Seekers". Our aim is to discuss the Path of Liberation which is symbolically indicated by Harry Potter. The Teachings of Liberation from suffering, sorrow and death have been handed down to humanity in legends, myths and spiritual epics for many thousands of years. All these works, including the Bible, the Corpvs Hermeticvm, The Alchemical Wedding of Christian Rosycross, the Tao Teh Ching and the teachings of the Buddha, as well as the writing of modern authors such as Bailey, Blavatsky, Heindel, Steiner and Van Rijckenborgh are discussed here. We study the Path that was trodden by the pupils of the ancient Mystery Schools, the Gnostics, the Alchemists, and the Rosicrucians. Their teachings are all symbolically hidden in Harry Potter. When the emphasis is mainly on Harry Potter the discussion is held in HarryPotterforSeekers, but when the emphasis shifts away to more general spiritual subjects we discuss them here. Our group motto is SUMMA SCIENTIA NIHIL SCIRE: "The summit of knowledge is to know nothing" - The Alchemical Wedding of Christian Rosycross. The group is open to all members of the public who are interested in the teachings of liberation. |
