Dear Java,
You wrote:
I used to visit discussion groups whose many members would constantly post their
differing viewpoints and urgings of this or that path. They often spoke of
losing their egos yet boasted of their abilities, insights and spiritual gifts.
They spoke of effective methods, or about a wonderful guru or teacher, or their
attainments of high degrees of spiritual mastery. In other words, there was a
lot of activity and many people were posting their thoughts, but there was no
Revelation. No truth to be found.
Cathy:
I too have visited discussion groups similar to those which you described though
not all grouplists are that way.
Java:
In the teachings of the Golden Rosycross, I have received the keys to unlock the
mysteries of the classical Rosicrucians, the salvation of the Cathars, the
gnosis of the Christian Gnostics and their Bible, the stillness of the Tao, and
the sublime truth of the Corpus Hermeticum. What more do I need?
Cathy:
My goodness, I can't imagine what else you or anyone would need? You have
obviously found your Path and have committed to it. Your sharing this in that
paragraph is what keeps those of us undecided inspired and encouraged to keep
learning about the Lectorium. Thank you so much for sharing your experience.
Sharings and postings like yours are very helpful. I wish other members would
also share their experience in the way you have done.
Do you also attend Temple services and conferences?
Java:
The relative inactivity of this special group ensures that when one of its
members does post, it usually signifies something of substance or carries a
special significance.
Cathy:
I agree with you about the impact of posts of "substance" which "carries a
special significance"... posts like yours. But it cannot be only the moderators
who offer this substance in their posts and then no response to their posts from
members or the group will not survive as a group. The interaction Hans' invites
is also very important and for the benefit of all members.
Java:
And in the silence that follows, in the space in-between, the Truth speaks for
itself.
Cathy:
I agree that "in the silence" is the essential and the space in which Truth
"speaks for itelf" and guides and directs us. Nothing is more important than the
Teacher Within, the surrender to and connection with "The Other One."
Yet too, a step on the Path of Liberation is Insight. And I think discussing
Insights provided or even debating them can and does lead to deeper Insight and
understanding among members. There is I am sure a going into the Silence after
conferences at the Lectorium; but the message shared at conferences and shared
and discussed on this List is also an important step on the Path.
Thank you so much for post. It was very inspiring and helpful.
Cathy
