Call for Volunteers - OUT TAKES Dallas film festival

Howdy ya'll,

We are in need of 2 Production Coordinators to help prepare and run
this year's OUT
TAKES Dallas film festival. A description of the volunteer position
follows:

Production Coordinators - You are a Creative Techie or Techie
Creative but you don't see
either word as mutually exclusive. You should be a self motivated
individual who can own
a project & work independently -- but, also a team player who can
hold up your end of the
communication pipeline. Must be ultra dependable & able to meet
deadlines, also be quick
thinking/flexible to respond to technical glitches under time
sensitive situations, & have
some RTF school or demonstrated media background. Prefer, you know
Final Cut or other
editing software, have shooting/photography experience, &/or have
audio gathering
experience. Access to your own video equipment is a BIG plus. You
should be available to
attend the 1 hr orientation for Festival Production Volunteers, and
set-up & tear down
production equipment at the theater. You are expected to volunteer
approximately 27
hours in the booth &/or on event shoots during the festival on
weekday &/or weekend
shifts.

About OUT TAKES Dallas:

OUT TAKES Dallas, the annual Lesbian and Gay Film Festival,
celebrates its ninth year of
bringing relevant, provocative films to the Dallas community with the
announcement of
this year's theme "Live Through Film." This year's theme celebrates
the often playful union
between film and LGBT life and emphasizes the daily impact film has
on the lesbian and
gay community. Festival-favorite Magnolia Theater will host this
year's selections for the
sixth consecutive year. It will be presented from November 2-11, 2007
and proceeds from
the Festival will once again benefit Youth First Texas.

Since OUT TAKES Dallas originated in 1999, it has become an
institution in the area, and
has become known for the quality of program, professional execution,
and our top-caliber
guests. The Festival has screened over 500 films to an audience of
over 25,000 people in
North Texas, including over 30 Texas or Dallas Premieres! But the
Festival is much more
than just great LGBT films. OUT TAKES Dallas is unique in that it is
the largest Festival of
its kind that is completely produced by a fully volunteer not-for-
profit organization.
