Re: [50mhz The Magic Band] Gizmotchy 6M Beam?

Mmmm, Gama match means uneven pattern or patern distortion for a start. Don't know the antenna but I have just released details of my Loop Fed Array Yagi's which give suprior Yagi performance. More like a quad in performance than a Yagi.

Check the first release details at my web: http://www.g0ksc.co.uk

Subject: [50mhz The Magic Band] Gizmotchy 6M Beam?

Anyone tested a Gizmotchy dual-polarization 5el beam on 6M?

They claim: "1.5 kw pwr handle, Boom Length: 11.6 feet,
Weight: 13.5 lbs. SWR: less than1.5:1, Wide Band 50 - 54 mhz,
ACTUAL 10.18* fwd gain."

There are 5 elements horizontal and 5 vertical - gamma match
feed system.

WDYT?

50.0-50.5 1:1 is neat but what about above that, please? Is it the full-wave driven element entirely in the horizontal plane that narrows the bandwidth? How...

Justin, Pretty decent work! Approx gain/fb 5 el/6 m boom? Did you, by chance, ever try using a folded dipole as a driven element? Please give details so I can...
