Hello Lisa(and everyone) my name is Nicola and I have a gorgeous step
daughter who is 10 years old. She has been diagnosed with Semantic
Pragmatic Disorder and also ASD. I'm still quite new to the Main Project
and have only met A nna once. However I have to say she was so lovely
when I did meet her that I felt I'd known her for years. My partner and
I share custody of our daughter which means we generally have her about
3 days a week. My little girl attends mainstream school and has 10 hours
a week one to one support. At present we are in the process of trying to
get more hours for her, I'm sure it will be a long and complicated
process. I seem to spend hours on the computer looking on various
websites for information on SPD and ASD that I will be able to
understand but it all seems like double dutch to me. A lot of the time I
feel guilty, I wish I could do more to give her the best life ever. I
would'nt change things for the world though. I feel so lucky to be
involved in the life of such a wonderful little girl. Anyway I think
I've waffled on for quite enough. Oh by the way this is my first
computer and I'm totally clueless on how to do most things. So if
there's any messages that don't make sense they'll probably be from me.
I apologise in advance and can only say I'll try my very best not to
make too many mistakes. It's been lovely talking to everybody, thanks for
listening to me ramble on and on. Speak to you soon love Nicola xx
