Hi Tizzkins.

I know what you are going
though, luckly at the mooment i am no longer suffering
from OCD but I have had this illness on and off for 19
years or so.

I use to wake up every morning with
obsessional thoughts going though my head about what if this
happened to me or what if I thought about a certain date
would something happen then.
I was not very
religious at the time but i did think about the dark side
of religin and would think may be I am not good
enough for god.

my main problem would be that I
would set dates for myself and then think some thing
could read my mind and that something would happen. It
is abit like checking all the time. You think to
your self did I check that and if I didn't would some
thing happen,. I would get over one date and then
create another. I was on Prozac for 8 years but i have
changed over to seroxat and this is alot
better.

Are you on medication Tizz. Also I started going back
to church and learning about the christian faith
again. Since I have done this I realize that all these
thoughts are my own and that nothing can hurt me because
of what I think. Also I know that God loves me and
that he forgives any bad thoughts I have had in the
past.

I know if you are not into religian you will think
what is she going on about but I have found it helps.
What you need to do is to get a good doctor and then
involved in something that you really enjoy. People like
us will always be obsessive about some thing, what I
have learnt is to be obsess about something that does
you good and also helps other people. don't listen to
people who say think of some thing else because when you
are bad you can not do this and also you get very
down with it all. What is would say is to take one day
at a time and enjoy the moent whaen you are not
feelings so bad. if you get panic attacks then just go
with them and breath deeply and think of some thing
nice. these thoughts are onllllly an illness and you
can with alot of help control them. It does take alot
of effort and it is not easy but gradually you will
over come then and the horrible feeling they give you.
There are alot of us out here with this problem and you
are not mad in any way. I fact most people with ocd
are very intelligent nad senitive. Sorry about the
spelling if you want to get in touch with me more then my
email address is chirpy_2000_2000@ yahoo.co.uk. In fact
any one who is reading this can contact me if they
want to. Sani sight on the internet is very good as
well and she will beable to help as well. Please post
me back tizz and we can talk again. I hope this has
helped.
take care God bless
Immy.

P.S. Hi

well.Take care Immy
