Like many of you I suffer from OCD, have my good days and bad days.
I am just posting here to make you all aware of the 2002 Annual
Obsessive Action / No Panic conference.
The big day is on Saturday 19th October 2002 and will be held at the
Imperial College in South Kensington, London.
The conference's aim is to help and support those suffering from
obsessive compulsive and related disorders including body dysmorphic
disorder and trichotillomania. The conference is aimed primarily at
those with OCD, BDD and trichotillomania and their family members.
Professionals working in this field or wanting to understand more
about these conditions will also benefit from attending.
The day will comprise of Inspirational talks from 3 OCD and BDD
sufferers telling their own story and from Imperial College Professor
Paul Salkovskis from the Institute of Psychiatry, Professor Anthony
Sheehan from the Department of Health and TV personality DR Raj
Persaud from the The Maudsley Hospital.
There will also be sixteen workshops for both sufferers and their
families to choose from during the day, they include 'Helping a
person with OCD - the role of carers', 'Young people with OCD'
and 'Relaxation and anxiety management'. For the full list of
