yes, I have gotten alot better, although I have my
downfalls like everyone. I have learned to recognize
what my "triggers" are. For example, apparently i have
linked "drinking/getting drunk" to "cheating/kissing
someone" and i constantly have the "what if" thoughts.
It is so weird, i can be out to dinner with my
boyfriend and go to the bathroom and sit the rest of
the night with him, have fun, have a glass of wine or
two, and then later that night or the next day think,
"uh oh, what if i kissed someone", meanwhile there is
noone in mind, just the "someone" and the "guilt
feeling". I am learning to not always believe what i
feel. That with OCD we feel many things are not real.
Exposure therapy is soooo hard. Do you or any of you
ever get thoughts of doubting if you cheated on your
boyfrined/girlfriend/wife/husband,etc..? I would love
to hear some of your thoughts!!
