Hello there..
I'm looking for people with OCD to take part in some research.
I have been trying to find people to take part in my study for over 4 months
now and have only managed to interview 15 people (I need 30).
The people who have taken part have said that they found it interesting and
that it felt good to contribute to the understanding of OCD (you are the
only people who can do that). People have also been surprised that I don't
ask any intrusive or personal questions about their experience of OCD.
I have visited a large number of OCD support groups to talk about the
research and information has been sent out to 1200+ members of OCD Action..
I don't know what else to do!
If you are interested in taking part then you will be asked to complete a
few questionnaires followed by a short interview. All responses are
confidential and anonymous and you are free to withdraw at any time.
I can book rooms for the research interview in central London or I am
willing to travel to you to do the interview at your home/the location of a
support group if you're not too far away.
If you are interested in taking part then please contact me for more
information: georgina_thesis@...
If not, can you give me any feedback. Why are people not interested in
taking part? Is there something I should/shouldn't be saying/doing? Any
advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your time
Georgina
