Hi Michael, that sounds like a pretty impressive list for someone
who's only been playing for a year and a half.
I think we all get fed up and frustrated by our "apparent" lack of
progress. My teacher sometimes gets me to play something that I
perhaps hadn't played for a while but used to find tricky and it's
amazing how much I've improved without realising it. One idea is to
look for little sign-posts or milestones that let you know that you
really HAVE improved - like a tricky bit of fingering that you have
struggled with but is now second nature; sight-reading a tough part
fluently - stuff like that. I think you'll be surprised.
Why not record something and post it to the group and some of the more
experienced guys could give you some pointers? You'll find the members
of this "club" very helpful and supportive.
Good luck.
