Thanks to all of you for your comments and suggestions. I am sure that he would
have time for a brief chat at a book signing or after a show, but he has his own
life to lead and other pressures on him, as much from his own family as anything
else, so I can't see him having the time to unwind with someone that he does not
know and chat in depth with them. Also he probably has to be very careful what
he says as much of what celebrities say these days seems to be misrepresented by
the media.
As someone who is reasonably active in getting Fair Trade, I would love to know
how he arrived at his opinions and what, in his life has informed these. As an
older person I am conscious of the influences on my life and realise how
precarious life is. I wonder how others have been affected by their experiences.
In Tony's case, I wonder how the work that he does has influenced him. I also
like to know what matters to people and why.
Perhaps when he has a moment he can talk to those of us who would like more than
a superficial conversation. I would love to be at a debate in which he was
putting his point of view.
Thank you to Cally, Sput and Barmybunnie for your comments. I appreciate them
and am only sorry that circumstances do not allow me to get to even a book
signing; my nearest would be Redhill next Tuesday when I am working.

I have to say even though Tony is a busy bloke he's always got time
for people and is always friendly and charming :) Not of course
that I'm biased or anything!!
Think he's willing to sign just about anything! Within reason! LOL!
Anyone going to the show will really enjoy it :)
Cally :)
