Hi, I just put up a page on helix style antennas, well contra wound
antennas tightly wound up and then down using pre twisted wire so that
power goes up and down twice for full wave travel plus, so that there
can be no radiation from the feed line.

I made a study of small antennas and came up with a totally new theory
but Americans will not even study the physics of it let alone build one.
One of these antennas I gave a description plus a graph of swr over
the band of frequencies I could measure(2 thru 100 MHz.tho I know it
goes beyond 200 MHz)
If anybody wants to build one I will answer all questions and help out
At the moment I am making a sloper for top band without the need for a
ground plane! It would be too high for my old garden but the tubular
form 12 inches diameter by 12 inches long again without the need for a
ground plane can be put just anywhere! If you are only going to use
100 watts mobile 22 awg wire will be more than enough( fuse strength)
so you can make it smaller.Next door need not know anything about it.
I put my work on the net so amatuers could play with it, but Americans
take the position that "all is known about antennas and want to buy
instead of making things. It would be neat to hear some G's on top
band despite the difficulties.
