Who are Transition Sneinton and St Anns?

Transition Initiatives is a grass roots, action model for making the change to a low carbon future.

Transition Sneinton and St Anns – is an autonomous neighbourhood group which aims to empower each individual to make decisions, plan actions and effect change in the local community.

We believe that there are many solutions to climate change and economic crises and that the skills, knowledge, creativity and experience of the community is where they can be found.

We would like to be part of Nottingham’s transition from an energy dependent system to a locally resilient, sustainable, productive and vibrant city. We think decreasing our dependence on fossil fuels could be an opportunity to create a better standard of living than we have now, where community is more important than consuming.
