Didn't look at the links provided but the general tone of the homepage
seemed quite apocalyptic with a "we're all doomed, Captain Mainwaring!"
tone, which probably isn't all that helpful...
However events of the last few weeks have shown that food security is
certainly coming onto the global and even national agenda, and will
become even more of an issue if Peak Oil becomes a reality.
Its something we are thinking about as Transition Town Westcliff, in
fact we held our first 'Open Space' event around the question of 'How
will Westcliff feed itself when the oil runs out?"

Perhaps if we start addressing these issues now rather than later we can
design some kind of locally based (food feet, not food miles!) solution
that might just avoid the 'Mad Max' style scenarios of the doom-mongers???
