Welcome to the first Transition Town Westcliff Newsletter - we will try to send it to you once a month but please be patient with us:).
In addition to the newsletter we plan to send one news bulletin monthly with the choice of videos, articles and interviews to read from and get armed in information on peak oil, climate change and practical solutions from within the Transition Initiatives and other active groups.
What is it about...
Just a refresher: we work towards Westcliff on Sea which sources as much food as possible locally, with local energy production and transport which won't collapse of oil shortage and won't aggravate the climate change, with buildings made from local materials which don't need that much heating and which are designed to create pleasant, thriving neighborhoods... To Be Continued...
History so far...
Much work has been done since we formed the steering group (Step 1 of Transition), started awareness raising (Step 2) and networking (Step 3). Still 9 Steps to go go before we reach the stage of making our own Energy Descent Action Plan which will reduce our oil addiction and reduce the impact of climate disruption.
Below you can find more details on those exciting and busy months of meetings, talks, screenings, press inquiries, learning and insights which move us towards a more resilient Westcliff on Sea and area. Until now the meetings were very enlightening and we made many valuable contacts with individuals and groups and are looking forward to meeting even more of people of Westcliff.
Oh and thanks for coming:)
Kind regards
Kamil Pachalko on behalf of Transition Town Westcliff
