Hi,
Im getting a little up-set by the constant re-branding
of the Palace Theatre Westcliff (yes Westcliff) . The
Palace Theatre sits in the heart of Westcliff and not
Southend,so why do the new leaseholders keep trying to
move it to Southend.In all new adds and flyer for the
Palace Theatre Westcliff it seems to have moved to
Southend.I hope this is a mistake on the part of
Southend Theatres and not a attempt to rip the heart
out of Westcliff! It has a new website with Southend in
the title surly this can only lead to confusion with
visitors old and new looking for a new Theatre in
Southend (Or is it me that is confused do we have a new
theatre?).

The Palace Theatre Westcliff has been in Westcliff form
the day the first brick was laid and I feel it is
un-fair of the new leaseholders to try and take away
our history by the constant use of Southend instead of
Westcliff. The Palace Theatre (The Old Lady Of
Westcliff) has been a part of westcliff since 1912 and
is the pride of Westcliff,so hands off!

I think it's time for the good folks of Westcliff to
take the matter up with the HQ Theatres the
leaseholders " mike@..."
