Hi and welcome to the group!! sorry to hear about the angel with the problem. If
it's been going on for 3 months then I very much doubt that anything will cure
it. I'm afraid that the only answer now is either to accept it or euthanise the
fish. If it where mine it would be the latter solution as it doesn't seem fair
to keep a fish in this condition. What other occupants are there in the tank?
Perhaps the fish was injured internally, this is not uncommon if other fish
bully the Angel, I once had a Headstander that repeatedly 'butted' other fish
before he was removed. Despite being Cichlids Angels are quite timid fish that
needs lots of space and plenty of cover. If shocked they will lay flat on their
sides at the bottom of the tank. (This trait is used to capture wild specimens,
the locals slap the water then gather the resultant stunned fish!) From time to
time a fish that does this does not make a full recovery. I'm sorry that I can't
give you a more positive reply but
perhaps someone else here can help.
Regards,
Steve
