Hello everyone, I'm hoping someone can help me.

I have just inherited an established tropical fish tank with some
tetras, I believe a cichlid and a large angel fish. The guy who owned
them before never used to worry about testing the pH etc. but as a
total beginner I want to know that I'm getting the water conditions
right so bought a kit. The pH has come out at around 8 +, I want to
lower that to 7 and went out and bought some "proper pH7" but then
read that it wasn't suitable for use with aquariums that had growing
plants in. My tank has some lovely arches of bog wood with plants
growing out of them which I really don't want to ruin... How can I get
the pH to what I want?

Help!

Thanks

Lucy
