Hi Dave,

Sorry about your Molly, unfortunately these things happen (sometimes
more often than we would like!!!)

I had a bizarre thing happen yesterday with one of my Flying Foxes.
We heard a clanging coming from the top of the tank and when we
looked the metal cover for one of the strip lights was jiggling
about. I removed the cover and saw something go over the back of the
tank. By the time we got the 'something' out from behind the tank it
was a very dead Flying Fox. I felt really sorry as the poor little
thing probably burnt itself on the light before taking a tumble and
then gasping for breath. There is a cover on the tank and the only
escape routes are where the filter pipes come in, and these are not
very large, so what happened was very unfortunate.

Kind regards,

Jan

Message for Steve,

I emailed some time ago regarding a black algae problem. I took your
advice and increased the light hours and also increased the stocking
level and I am pleased to report that although I do still have some
of the black stuff it is greatly reduced.

Many thanks
