Green Terror and Cichlid Fedding Problem   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #919 of 1220 |
Can someone please help, I have a 6ft tank with the following in it.

Silver Tinfoils X 2 (4inch)
Orange Parrot Fish X 2 (4 Inch)
Jewel Cichlids X 2 (3 Inch)
Loaches X 4 (2 Inch)
Cat Fish X 2 (9 Inch and 5 Inch)

They all get along well and I have now had a problem, however my
partner has also bought me a 6inch long Green Terror and a 9inch
Cichlid of some kind, both quite big.

The problem is that I an using pellets and the parrots and the tin
foils and all the other eat it all up and the new two which are much
bigger than the rest miss out completely.

I have only had the new ones for 5 days, and I was hoping that they
might get the message that it is first come first served!! I am using
medium pellets, and I was thinking of using large size in the hope
that they would be to big for the others to eat in one bite.

I also use cat fish pellets that go straight to the bottom, and the
two new ones miss out on these also.

Is this normal? Or can I do something to help the new two get a bite.

Thanks

Jim
