Goma consists of Gopal Hari (vocals, guitar) and his wife Ambika (vocals,
harmonium), in recent years, they have been accompanied by their two sons Shambo
(nal, dholak) and Veda (handcymbals) and their friend Tom Simenauer (tabla).
Gopal Hari and Ambika have been following their spiritual path for more than 17
years and have been working together under the name of 'Goma' since 1986. Gopal
Hari had the great fortune to meet Mahavatar Babaji (widely known through
Paramahansa Yogananda's book 'The Autobiography of a Yogi') at His ashram in
1982/83. There he received initiation into many of India's ancient sacred ways
based on the supreme Vedic knowledge.
Including Ancient Keys to the Self through music.
The goal is to realise the Highest Self, bringing us closer to our true self and
to live in peace and harmony.
In order to bring us closer to our true self can include: japa (mantra
meditation), puja (ritual offerings), yagna (fire worship), karma yoga (service)
and jhara (aura cleansing and healings).
