Hi and welcome.
Handling it will be ok in a few days. If it hasn't
been handled much before it will probably bite but at
that size it allways makes me laugh how big and strong
they think they are when in reality they barely break
the skin. Start of with 5 mins or so a couple of times
a day and as you both get used to each other make it
longer as you go.
Corn snakes are nearly allways calm tempered as adults
so you wont have to worry about it growing up with a
temper.
You can sex corns from birth in various ways, however
none of these are really for beginners. You would be
better off taking it back to the shop and asking them
to sex it for you.
Unfortunately the site you linked to is a members only
