U.S. Allies   Message List

I would like to point out that it is the British who
are allies of the U.S. Not just the English. btw,I am
not anti-English...

It puzzles many people as to why we should ally
ourselves with a country which undermined British
interests inthe middle east after WWII. In the past
decade they have been a major factior in the demise of
the textile industry in the UK,particularly in the
Scottish Borders region. They put a 100% import tax on
all textiles imported from Britain. Silicon Glen in
Scotland, the hub of the UK computer industry was the
first to suffer when there was a recession in the PC
industry.

Their is a long list of transgressions against British
companies in recent years.

The main reason why we are allied to America is the
simple fact that they have it in their power to
bankrupt our economy if we don't toe the line.

The choice we face is to be an ally of the most
powerfull country in the world or a minor player in
what will be virtually the United States of Europe
with France and Germany pulling the strings once we
surrender our sovereignty to the E.C.
