Well, judging by the j/d tracks on the 24 hour party people
soundtrack, the remastered tracks sound reasonably good.
i think one vital thing though is that if the albums ever were
remastered, all the sleeve artwork and booklets should remain exactly
the same...because thats part of what made joy division (and new
order) albums so good, the wonderful minimalism of Peter Saville's
designs.

Seeing as this year will mark the 25th anniversary of the release of Unknown Pleasures, i was wondering whether anyone else here thinks that London Records...

I wouldn't remaster Unknown Pleasures or Closer, they're perfect the way they are. Reissuing them might be a good idea though. boy_in_eyeliner...

I think if they were remastered, it should be done by barney, hooky and steve..i think only they could really remaster the sound without changing it in any...

There is a difference between remixing and remastering. Remaster's in their pure sense involes no remixing. ... let's ... a ... they ... perfect ... this ... ...
