I think the video you're describing is the video for 'Atmosphere' and
they're not KKK members, they're people dressed up as druids.
Bernard Sumner isn't racist, as are none of the band...Ian certainly
wasn't, as he was a fan of reggae music.
As for Ian's personal problems, i think it's best you read the
book 'Touching From A Distance' written by his widow Deborah.
It gives a really good insight into Ian's private and professional
life.
