Wasn't "New Order" named after Pol Pot's regime? I can't remember where I
read that... I think JD/NO only have fascist references to challenge the
audience, like how the Sex Pistols only released God Save the Queen to piss
the public off, and JD were obviously fans of theirs. Very punk.

The thing I don't understand about the video is the door opening and
shutting that many times; I suppose it fits nicely in time with the music,
and was maybe used as filler, but I can't see any meaning other than that.

I think Joy Division's choice of name was mainly down to Ian. Whereas New Order's choice of name was made mostly on the part of Rob Gretton....
