Ralf was surrounded by World Champions on the
podium...its only just registered. Haha HE beat two multiple
world champions!!!!!!
I think its ironic that the
first Schumacher 1-2 (and brothers 1-2) should be led
hom by the one with one win previously rather than
the one with nearly 50...But hey, who's complaining!

Well Micheal *puke* did do a good job. But I can
only imagine what DC would have been capable of had he
not stalled on the grid. It was just an unfortunate
situation. Nothing wrong with what Bernoldi did either.

Loads of ppl have been Bernoldi bashing recently.
Why? he was just racing...thats his job. Jos
Vertstappen said that is Bernoldi had let DC through he
wouldn't have! It got the Arrows team plenty of valuable
TV coverage time and that will please their
sponcers.
Ron Dennis kicked up such a fuss about it
which was pathetic. Apparantly he threatened to halt
his career in F1. MY MY, what would Bernie have said
to that request. If he's anything like me he'd tell
Ron to sod off. In my opinion, theres no point
yelling at Bernoldi if the reason DC was behind him was
the teams fault! Ron Dennis should be yelling at his
team 4 not getting the starting system right.
Poor
Ralf is having no look with reliability recently.
Thats another batch of points the Williams team have
let slip through their fingers. Of course Montoya
wasn't their fault. The wonder kid (as he ppl seem to be
calling him) smashed the car into the barrier after only
a couple of laps. He was sliding around all over
the place in the short straight before the corner. He
so easily could have lifted of and kept the car
going. He was obviously thinking to much about Ralf in
fron tof him. However, Frank Williams didn't say a bad
word against him (nor do i expect him too after all he
is his manager) Not the most awe inspiring
performance, paticually as other rookies Raikkonen, Bernoldi
and Alonso went fairly well. Alonso in
paticular...the young Spaniard seems to be capable of performing
on every circuit.
Back to Monyoya. I do kind of
like him. He was impressive in the USA but he hasn't
really done much over here apart from a strong
performance in Brazil. He to has had plenty of technical
problems and only time will tell.
Well done to the
Jaguar team for an excellent race. Irvine was superb
although De La Rosa was a bit disapointing. Also well done
to the Prost team and Jean Alesi for a solid
performance.
I suppose i should say well done to Ferarri too
(grrrrr) for being handed the race so nicely by Mclaren.

If Coulthard wins the championship this year, I'll be very happy. But I still
think that Micheal has the edge over everyone.

The Williams GP team are really standing on their
own feet this year with all these retirements. Both
Ralf and Montoya could have scored points in
Austria.
Montoya didn't help himself by that pathetic little off
with Michael Schumacher but he still could have
scorred some valuable points.
Apart from that, Michael
Schumacher should be feeling fairly embarresed by now. All
he needs is his team mate having to move over in the
last corner for him. It looks pitifull but if he
hadn't have been tapped of Montoya he would have been
ahead.
Montoya impressed me at first but that little thing with
Michael irritated me. He's still learning though.
Ralf
made a really good start, he's been doing that a lot
recently.
Finally...well done Jos Vertstappen, O.Panis and Kimi Raikkonen
who did really well to score points and most of all
well done to Coulthard who really is keeping this
world championship alive.

Maybe it's just my imagination but Micheal didn't
seem all that happy today in the post qaulifying press
conference. And he didn't make any comments about how close
Ralf was to him in terms of performance. Whereas
before he would say how pleased he was with his "little
one" competing alongside him. I wonder could it be
that Micheal is finally starting to see Ralf as a
serious threat to his WC chances?.

God, I was so frustrated when Mika broke down on
that last lap. If Micheal get's to far ahead in the
champioship, it will be hopeless for everyone else. Micheal
needs to have a few DNF's so Ralf, Juan, Mika and DC
can all catch up.

Well done Montoya, Villeneuve, Heidfeld, Trulli
and Coulthard.
I feel really sorry for Mika
Hakkinen but he'll bounce back. He took it
well.
Michael Schumacher has to be the luckiest sod on the
planet but 10 points is 10 points no matter how you get
it.
Coulthard did well comeing through the field, that move on
Heidfeld was great.
Villeneuve and Trulli didn't do
much, just kept their heads down and gained from others
loss.
Montoya made a fantastic start, both he and
Ralf didn't use launch control and it shows because
Ralf made a good start too. He gained from other
people too but he really did deserve it.
I'd just
like to point out though when Ralf was on the track he
was 5 seconds ahead of Trulli and 7 seconds ahead of
Montoya (by lap 12).
Nobody diss Ralf! he had brake
problems, thats what Patrick Head said anyway!

I think Jaguar are being a bit harsh, firing
Burti now. He's only done 4 GP. He's ran Irvine close
too. However i like De La Rosa so i'm glad he's back
in F1.
I'm relieved that Burti is replacing
Mazzacane at Prost too because Burti still gets a chance
and Prost get rid of that terrible Gaston. I hate to
be insulting but my Aunt on her moped could probably

I think Ralf could make it a three way battle for

Well, where to begin. Ralf did a tremendous job
today. He led from start to finish. He kicked
everybody's ass. Ralf is starting to proove himself to be the
mature and strong driver that I knew he would eventually
become when he first entered and Rubens should be
worried that he's going to loose his 3rd spot in the
championship. Hell, he might even be a threat to Micheal and
Coulthard!. Way to go Ralf.

Now onto Montoya(sorry but
I'm a fan of his as well). 2 weeks ago he looked
brilliant. Today he looked rather average, especially with
Ralf dominating. But it just goes to show that he is a
rookie, and as a rookie he is still in a period of
learning. This is his first year, and I'm sure he'll have
days where he looks great, and days where he looks not
so great(like Button last year). But along with
experience, will come consistency(I'm sure). Ralf and Monty
are currently 2 of the most promising drivers out
there. And next year I think they will both be fighting
for the world championsip.

Even Alonso in the Minardi outqualified them both
(the benettons) this GP!!!!!!!! I don't paticually
like Fisichella that much because i think he, like
Coulthard, is really unpredictacle and one race he's
brilliant then in the next he looks crap. I can safely
predict that his Benetton will be a lot more competitive
in Canada and Monaco because it always is and
Button's Beneton will look hardly any different.
I
also like Olivier Panis and Nick Heidfeld. I've been a
small Panis fan since 1995 and i was horrified in 1997
when he broke his legs. He's showing Villeneuve up a
bit this season isn't he?
Kimi Raikkonen and
Alonso are looking good but i'm not sure about Burti or
Bernoldi yet because both of the seem to have a 'thing'
for spinning of the track and hitting barriers. I
know Ralf did that a lot in 1997 but he looked fast,
they don't realy. Although i think Irv the swirv is a
great laugh he's not exactly F1's finest so if Burti's
any good he should really be beating him. Bernoldi is
in a different position. Jos Vertstappen is another
one in the DC and GF mould. Some races he looks ace,
some he looks completley the oppisite. So Bernoldi is
harder to judge against his team mate.
Anyway, i
gotta go
I'm saying a prayer for Ralf....he's gonna
win in Imola (pretty please god with sugar on
top!)
Vicky

Yeah, the biggest disapointment for me are the
Bennetons. The car is an absolute pile of crap, they were
never all that great since 1998, but this year they
seem to have sunken to a new low. Only the Minardi's
seem to be worse then them.
I feel bad for Button,
after having an extremely good season last year, he's
been reduced to the back of the grid in almost every
race.
Fisichella is one of my favourite drivers
behind Ralf and Monty, so I am really disapointed to see
him doing so badly. He was really lucky to get that
point in Brazil though.

I don't think there is anything wrong with the
hype. He was the champion in F3000, he was the champion
in Cart, he won the Inianapolis 500. He has prooven
his worth as a race car driver, so it's only natural
that people have high expectations of him. But along
with the hype comes the skeptics. And a lot of people
thought he would just turn out to be another Zanardi.
Thankfully though, that has prooven not to be the case. Yes
he hasn't finished a race yet, but he has the pace
to be sucessful F1 driver, it's just a matter of
making it to the finish. But I have no doubts in
Montoya's capabilities.
From what I have seen so far
this season, it looks as though Ralf has the upper
hand. But Montoya will be pushing him all season long
it will be good for both of them.

Ralf has again qualified in the top three for the
third race in succesion. This time he's out-qualified
his brother. This is only the second time ever, the
first being in Hokenheim in 1998 when Ralf was third
and Michael was 9th (i think this is from memory...it
might have been 7th).
Montoya was a little bit
disapointing even after missing the second friday free
practice session. Ralf missed the practice session last GP
and qualified 2nd. Montoya was also over 7 tenths of
a second slower than Ralf which will bring him back
down to earth a bit.
Coulthard seems to be having
a good run recently after being on the podium in
the first free races, winning the last one. Pole
position is a bit of a suprise but Ferarri were running on
the harder tyres which will probably be better in the
race. So i'm certainly not counting Michael out yet.
Tomorrow could be Ralfs day though finally, he cant be
unlucky for ever...even Johnny Herbert had some luck
occasionally.
Any one else impress you?
Trulli, Panis, Raikkonen
and Alonso impressed me quite a bit and i pity poor
Button and Fisichello in that beast of a Benetton and
poor Alesi in the Prost.
Anyway, ta ta

I want Montoya to succeed but all this hype is
bugging me because it was only one race. I'm waiting till
the end of the season untill i judge him. I had the
same problem with Button last year, OK he was quick
but he had a lot better luck in the races than Ralf
did but only finnished the season with half the
points Ralf did. Every one always hypes up Ralfs team
mates and ignores him...he could qualify 6 seconds
quicker and they would go on about how wonderfull his
team mate was!!!!!!!

Well I have faith that Montoya will keep up this
pace. He prooved in Cart that he is a very strong
driver, and I think he is prooving now that he is better
then Zanardi(in F1). There is no doubt, that Williams
will win a race this year, it's just a question of who
wins first. I would love to see Ralf do it, but
Montoya is looking a threat as well.

Montoya set the second quickest lap behind Ralf,
it was a few tenths of a second slower than Ralfs
though. I think Montoya did well in Brazil but i'm
waiting before i start praising him because he may not be
consistant. He could be like Fisichella who does really good
in a few races then really badly in the rest
(compared to his team mate that is). He hasn't shown much
promise in the wet though but that might improve with
time. Also, im wary of drivers who have great opening
season/first couple of races because very few of them tend to
carry on that way.
Lets hope for Frank Williams
sake that Montoya continues to shine and Ralf gets
some long over due luck. If so, Williams should take
their first GP win since 1997 this season.
My bet
is by Silverstone at the latest.

Well, mistakes will happen. What I find
inappropriate is the fact that Rubens won't accept the blame.
The least he could do is say he was wrong and
apologise to Ralf. I was really upset about what happened
to Montoya. Because he was so fast, and that
overtaking move he put on Micheal was pure class(and some
people said he would be crap in F1!). But I'm not mad at
Verstappen because he apologised and admitted that he was
wrong, so that's that.

Coulthard did an excelent
job and I'm really happy that he beat Micheal fair
and square, but, like you said, I don't think it will
last. He is not consistent enough, if he was, he would
have been a lot closer to Mika and Micheal, in terms
of points, over the past few years.
