Hi, All.

1) When reading group e-mails, please consider whether you should be
replying to a single, named person (who has supplied a personalised
e-mail address) or the entire group of 60-odd members. Like some
others, I opt to log-in at Yahoo Groups once a week, so I miss the
replies that people "send to all".

2) FYI, there are no available places at Bethnel Green's training
session tomorrow evening, 15 APR. Turn up and risk enjoying a view of
the court from the stands.

3) I will take pics at the Corporate Challenge in Kingston this
Saturday, 19 APR. Come along as a spectator! See details on Jane Pak's
previous posts.

Cheers,
Eleanor

Am happy to pass this ball onto someone else who feels he/she can

I have posted you a cheque for £75 collected today at Whitechapel.  (This does not reflect a mass turnout - merely money which had not been collected on previous Sundays!)

Subject: [volleylondon] Corporate Volleyball Challenge - Sat 19th April 2008

Greetings my friends!
Good news! We were allowed to register 2 teams for the Corporate Volleyball Challenge - Sat 19th April 2008.

Attached is the list of players who has confirmed their attendance. If you wish to join the teams and be added to the list please fill in the spreadsheet and return to me ASAP. I'll be making a payment of Â£200 (£100 per team) to the organisers this week, so if your name is on the list I'll be expecting a payment from you directly to me. Once I know the final number of players for both teams I'll let you know how much is the final payment per person and who will be in which team.
Based on the current list so far we have 15 players for 2 teams costing us £200 = which comes to around £13 to £14 per person.

Please note, you are on the list because you have expressed an interest in playing. If you think you shouldn't be there please let me know ASAP, as I will be expecting a payment from you.

Should you have any questions please contact me at any time.

Kind regards,
Jane

Hello Corporate Volleyball Players

Richmond Volleyball would like to invite your organization to our 4th Indoor Corporate Volleyball Challenge played over one day on Saturday 19th April 2008 held at Kingston Arena.

The tournament will be organised into 8 to 10 teams and matches will be held in the same venue (2 courts). We will again be offering prize vouchers for the top three teams (sponsored by Champneys Health Resorts).  The entrance fee for each team is £100.00, which includes all matches, prizes, & refreshments.

The key rules are as follows: the team size must be a minimum of 6 players; each team must have a minimum of 2 female players and 2 female players must be on court at all times. Players must be associated to the company directly or indirectly.  If you wish to enter more than 1 team – you may do so. Referees will be provided by Richmond Volleyball.

There are many benefits to participating in the Richmond Corporate Volleyball Challenge primarily; improving corporate health and re-energising employees; re-enforcing teamwork and developing leadership skills; and network with other businesses. Your organization will also have the added benefit of supporting our local community with emphasis on developing volleyball in primary and secondary schools.

Please note once the Corporate Challenge has reached maximum capacity (on a first-come, first-serve basis), we are unable to extend. As they say, book early to avoid disappointment - places will go quite quickly!! Closing date 19th March 2008.

If you have any questions please drop me a line. We look forward to welcoming your organization to our 4th Corporate Challenge.

Kind regards
David Rijvers

Right - 7 players - subs collected £30. Eleanor to send own payment.

Naveed - I'm sending cheques totalling £200 (45+50+25+50+30). This
resolves five sessions, and we should be up to date now.

I have received the new balls ordered, and have sent you the invoice.
LVA owes me £112.01.

I'll send you my details/address in separate email.

Thanks,
Cody

Hi, Cody,

I say go for it. There are just a handful of us who attend the
trainings on a regular basis and everyone considers us to be
responsible. Naveed doesn't visit us anymore and Cormac will be out
of the country indefinitely, so we really are the representatives and
should be trusted to make sound decisions for the group.

Buying balls is technically a business expense and I personally want
the money I have contributed over the past months to go to supplies
purchase. It really is getting ridiculous - we aren't able to warm up
properly or improve our techniques in pairs or groups because of the
absence of supplies.

Eleanor

Is it worth me using (some of) this to buy some new balls?

Naveed/Cormac - are you content with this?
