Description

This group is intended for all those interested in bee-friendly, sustainable beekeeping based on the hive of Abbé Emile Warré (1867-1951) and described in the book Beekeeping For All .

It includes the various modifications of the Warré hive by, for example, J-M, Frèrès & J-C Guillaume, Marc Gatineau, Roger Delon etc.

It also includes the almost identical beekeeping concept of Abbé Christ (1739-1813) that was resurrected by Johann Thür in his book Bienenzucht. Naturgerecht einfach und erfolgsicher (Wien, Gerasdorf, Kapellerfeld, 2nd ed., 1946), two parts of which are available in English translation .

Links to Warré beekeeping sites in English, French and German can be found at http://warre.biobees.com/, together with a beginner's guide, management methods and details of modifications and historical precursors of the Warré hive.

Nice videos, Stewart, thanks for posting the link. How long did the sequence take between when they first began to issue and when things quietened down again
