Another feeding option you could consider is a contact feeder... I rather like
them because they don't drown bees and they're protected/hidden from robbers by
the cluster
You seal the top of the hive with a board with a hole in it and if you don't
have a commercial feeder then a margarine tub with a few holes pierced in the
lid is as good
