Tensions rise in the galaxy as news of the Quain Dyr threat spreads.
Rumours, both true and false, run rampant as half heard conversations and
incomplete scraps of data provide the source of many speculations. Through
all of this, the Quain Dyr themselves remain silent, an action which only
serves to increase the tension. Who knows where they may strike next?

Particularly persistant rumours suggest that there is a weapon which the
races of the galaxy may be able to use to defeat the Quain Dyr. The Avar
have it (somewhere), the Cybel want it and will do anything to acquire it.
The rest of the races wait to see what occurs...

Meanwhile, in this quiet interlude, we focus on the inhabitants of the Tyle
Oasis. While war with an unknown alien race looms on the horizon and
political alliances straining under the pressure, business at this newly
established Waypoint in the midst of the Avar wasteland must continue as
before. Customers still need to be served at Boo's place, traders still need
a neutral place to meet and certain people have matters of great import to
discuss.
