Hi All,
Just to remind you that the deadline for early booking is fast approacing -
31st of October - so if you intend to book using the cheaper price of £40
you will need to get a booking to me before that date. After this date the
price becomes £45 and then £50 on the door.
Cheques will be accepted if they are posted to: 8 Roundlea Road, Northfield,
Birmingham, B31 1DB and made out to 'Waypoint LRP'
I will take cheques or cash in person if you happen to see me at an event or
in the street. Next event I am attending is Riftworld on the 29th October
(conveniently before that deadline). I am also willing to share the
societies account number with anyone who wants to send money by direct
transfer - e-mail me privately for that info.
Even if you are not intending (or are unable) to get the cash in before
deadline, it would be nice to know how many of you to expect at the event.
So, if you are intending to come, please let me know as much in advance as
you can so I can work out numbers and plot and logistics and so on. If you
have a genuine problem with getting the money before the deadline, talk to
me and we may be able to come to some agreement.
We are also still looking for a lot of crew for this event. The more the
merrier. If you want to play but cannot afford it, you are welcome to come
and crew instead. We can give you an excellent interactive NPC role or two
to play as well as the chance to run screaming at the players (if that is
your wish). Plus discounts for future play.
The 31st October is also the deadline for downtime submissions. So, if you
want your character to have done anything between last session and this one,
please get these in before that date. This is because I am very likely over
the next few months to get called into full time employment for anything
from a day to several months and this will severely impede my ability to get
all the admin and downtimes written unless they all come in reasonably
early.
We also have two event in vapourware form at the moment. One is an event set
on Avar in a ruined city which will be fun if we can find a decent site (one
or two options are being explored). The other is a return to Bowker for
another Dagdan Festival which may take place at the Dilston site in the
North east sometime next year. Unlike the last Bowker event, which was
closed to all but Dagdan players, this one will be an open event with no
restrictions.
Thats all for now...
David
