Hi All,

As you may or may not be aware, Waypoint LRP is in the middle of a short
break of one year in order to allow us the time to recharge our batteries
and do some essential rewrites of the system, the plot and the organisation
in order to make it all the better when we do come back. Since the last
event finished off a lot of ongoing plot and brought things to a satisfying
conclusion it was felt that this was the best time to do this so we could
restart with fresh plot.

Original intention was to take a break for exactly one year, having our next
event being somewhere between Feb and April 2009. However, recent changes in
my life (starting a new course in september which will run until June) mean
that this is now impractical. I can't guarantee to be able to produce a good
event while the course is ongoing. So, the best course of action would be to
plan for an event sometime in the summer of 2009 - aiming for sometime
between mid June and the end of July/start of August.

The event's current working title is 'Coronation' and will revolve around
the Coronation of the new Emperor of Avar. We are planning to have the same
site we used for the last event for this - Gladstone Scout centre near
Chester - as we found that site to be wonderful in so many ways.

If you are interested in coming to this event, it would be useful if you
could let me know as soon as possible what dates you are or are not
available between June and July/August. It won't be planned for the August
Bank holiday Gathering/Renewal LRParama but I equally do not want to clash
with Maelstrom, Artificer, BRR or any other systems that many of the players
and crew do.

Updates to the rules are underway. The Dagdan and Cybel have more or less
been redone completely with additions including many of the concepts that
players have come up with over the course of the games. I am going to start
work on the Oonym (currently the most under developed race) soon and then
the Avar and Althari. If you have anything you want to add to any of the
race write ups please let me know as soon as possible.

I also intend to do a brief overview of what happened in the last campaign
and how this has changed the worlds. Anything you want to add to this is
also welcomed.

David

Hi Dave

Given the fact that we are expecting a little bundle of joy in a few
weeks we will be struggling to get to many (or even) any LARP in the
future you'd best count us out when planning events.

Have to leave it to others to wear the day-glo pants.

I am sure those dayglo pants will not look half so wonderful on others :)

Congrats on the upcoming event (it seems to be catching among LRPers at the moment...) I am sure we will see you back sometime soon, once the aforementioned bundle is old enough to hold a latex sword :)
