hi everyone,

i remember reading somewhere that jason falkner was on the
old VH1 show "The List," and was wondering if anyone has a tape of this. i
would love to see it!

thanks,
tara
I remember seeing the very end of that episode. I have a falkner wishlist set up
on my tivo just in case they show it again. But who knows if they ever will?
Hey, the new Brendan Benson album is out now. It's called Lapalco and it's
great! Jason co-wrote tracks 1,3,5,7 and 9 with Brendan. You guys should check
it out!
Both Belong by the Grays. One nice Takamine, one crappy mic, one
copy of Sonar, and 3 vocal takes.

Now, my french isn't very good, but it looks like Jason was on TV the
other night, and I think there's a repeat coming up. This is what I
found:
Mardi 19 mars à 23h00, Patrice Bouédibéla reçoit Travis et Jason
Falkner.
Une rediffusion de l'émission est prévue le 23 mars à 16h20 sur le
câble mais aussi en numérique - via les bouquets TPS (Canal 5) et
CANALSATELLITE(Canal 31) ou via un récepteur numérique classique sans
abonnement.
TRAVIS interprète
Sing
Side
Flowers in the window
Turn
Last train
Pipe Dreams
Travis en duo avec Jason Falkner interprètent :
Wichita lineman (a hit by Glenn Campbell)
J. Falkner interprète
Revelation
She goes to bed
Miss understanding

So, anyone want to tackle that?
SimonG
Yup, your French is fine, Si!
Repeat program on the 23rd, but probably not accessible via normal
cable channel (complicated programming on Arte!). I will try to get
it taped though...

the downloadable version, it's 10mb.
is there a way we can get jason's live stuff on furthur? i'm not sure
how it works, but i think the artist needs to authorize furthur to
feature them.
these are exerpted bits of current info on jason's current
happenings. you can find more detail about everything on my jf site
http://www.geocities.com/kidwithoutcurfew/
In a couple of weeks Jason will be back in Europe to tour with Air
for 8 weeks of festivals, he just played on a new Beck song, is
producing, engineering, and playing on the new Lilys album, will be
mixing the "softcore" album for release this fall on monday, AND has
a new album in the works.
*phew!* i can hardly keep up!

I just wanna say thanks for keeping your site up to date. I check it
several times a week for news about Jason and it's nice to have
at least one source on the net for news about what he's up to.
Hiya everyone! I know there are some Falkner fans from Seattle in
this group besides me so I thought "what the hey" I'll post something
about my search for bandmates. I play keyboards, guitar, and bass.
I have a knack for mixing, as well. For this project I plan on doing
vox, guitar, and a little keys. I've got a drummer, and a person who
will be joining us on the moog in a few months. So, I guess what I
am looking for is a bassist and a 2nd guitarist. Someone who has
cool do-dads like a theremin would be a nice addition as well. The
ability to space out and make epic long songs yet also be able to
make 3 minute catchy tunes is a must.
The sound: garage rock, psyche space, with a dash of indi pop. I'm
heavily influenced by the sounds of the 60's-70's. If you're
interested, I suggest you check out my website:

Or you can email: dalipardon@...
Thanks for reading! ;-)

We cant go though :(
(have no car and little money, so london is hard to get to from up
here)
But i thought i'd let you all know about the show!
6 august 2002, dingwalls in london.
Does anyone know if he will be playing a small show in MANCHESTER???
I have my tickets and I can't wait. Saw Jason at the Embassey
Rooms in London a couple of years ago and he was excellent.
By the way I've just got the Brendan Benson album which jason
plays and co-wrote most of which is pretty good.

What an absolutely brilliant gig! Wasily the best performance I've seen Jason
give. He entertained us for just under 2 hours. Here's the setlist:
New song (complicated man ???)
She's Not The Enemy
Eloquence
Honey
New song (lost myself in you ???)
Hectified
Don't Show Me Heaven
She Goes To Bed
Johnsburg, Illinois
Taking It To The Streets (snatch of Michael McDonald song)
New song (at the keyboard, very nice! Mentions lounging round in the underground
a few times)
Goodnight Sweet Night
His Train
New song (they put her in the movies ???)
I Live
Miss Understanding
The Hard Way
Afraid Himself To Be
Revelation
Miracle Medicine
Holiday
Wicked Anabella
Very Best Years
Start Over Again
The Man I Used To Be
I Go Astray
Moonage Daydream
A Song From Under The Floorboards
The new song at the keyboard was gorgeous! A future Falkner classic I'm sure.
The audience were very receptive, helping out with backing vocals, harmonies and
taking over completely for She Goes To Bed, which blew Jason away!
I hope it's not 3 years before we see him in the UK again!
