Yep, though a summer release of the album would be fantastic. Should make
those weekend trips to the beach even sweeter.

Wow, that's a pretty nice job to get. If there are any minidisc recordings
coming off the desk...y'know, give us a wink.

A note to UK fans; my copy of the EP arrived in Blighty this morning. And
thanks to the current exchange rate, the $16 price for the EP and postage
came out as £8.79 on my credit card. And you probably won't spend £8.79 on
anything better until his album comes out. Or if you put it towards paying
for a ticket to see the Pixies at Brixton. Still, now is the time to buy
things like this from the US, as the exchange rate is so good. And it's
great to hear a couple of the songs JF performed at the Camden gig finally
committed to plastic.

What article? Perhaps it refers to "Good to me", which (if I remember
correctly) he co-wrote with Brendan Benson. The White Stripes have been
playing it live for quite a while, and put it out as a b-side last year.

ps: the new air cd is incredible!!
Oh, it's in the US, too! I don't have a DVD player, but you can bet I'll be
watching that ASAP. I can't wait to relive the memories of the Austin, TX show
from 2001 with Jason. Head-nodding...so true!

It doesn't answer your question, but the bonus DVD that comes with the new
Air album (perhaps it's just in the UK; I don't know) features quite a lot
of Falkner-lurking, head-nodding and bass-widdling.

On another note, is there any chance of Bliss Descending making it onto
Soulseek? Perhaps a 96kbps rip, to ensure that people will still buy it
if/when it becomes commercially available - in case some people aren't as
conscientious as others.
Hiya,
I just got the new Air CD Saturday. It's most excellent.
Anyone know if Jason will be touring with them again this year? I'm
looking forward to seeing them here in a few months; if Jason were
with them it would make it even better!
Thanks,

Wow there is boot for the show:
Fly By Night (CD)
Freemantle (sic), Australia - June 8, 1997 (electric/solo)
That show was the night after the Perth show that I saw. Well Perth
and Fremantle are as separate as Los Angeles and Santa Monica :-)
We went to see Australian band The Clouds farewell tour and Jason was
doing support. I had only heard "I Live" on the radio, but I was a
fan by the end of the short set. Living in hope of one day seeing him
again. Living in Zürich now, so fingers crossed for the euro tour
this year. Then I can show my wife who is tiring of my "music's most
unrecognised genius" rants.
Cheers
Greg
Hello
I`m pretty new to Jason Falkner, but none the less, fairly obsessed
too! I`ve got most of the official stuff now (hard to get,but where
there`s a will, there`s an ebay) anyway,I`ve also downloaded all the
superb stuff from the wonderful www.jasonfalkner.net and cant get
enough. This months download, the live version of "revelation" is
brilliant,as was last months demo "lucky day"...............which is
what I would like some help with.Have any of you good folk out there
got any more of those "download of the month" tracks? I would
desperately like to get a hold of them,so if anyone can email me
them,i would be very grateful.I would willingly pay for these or
trade some of my own stuff,I have some recent live Muse stuff, who
were the best live band I saw last year...........well,anyway,if you
can help get in touch off list thanks.Pretty selfish post I know, but
I am genuine about JF,I cant believe I didn`t get his stuff sooner,I
loved Jellyfish, but because he didn`t do any songwriting with them,I
just didn`t bother to be honest,i`m sorry to say.I know better
now,Jason is up there with my all time faves, cant wait for the new
album, and no matter where he plays in the UK,I`ll be there.
I`ve noticed that there aren`t too many posts on here,so I could be
talking to myself..............but,thanks anyway
Derek Mc
hi all,
for those of you that dont already know, www.jasonfalkner.com is now
up and running after a load of domain ownership issues. thankfully
this has been sorted and there is news etc as to jasons upcoming
shows etc on the site. and if you want to leave him a message, sign
up to the messageboard, and being the all round good chap he is, he
will more than likely answer it for you himself.
happy new year etc.

Hey everyone,
I just bought the revised Guest CD by Phantom Planet, and they have
this yearbook thing with pictures of people who have helped them
along the way, and on the second page was a picture of Jason
Falkner! This version has some bonus tracks and an enhanced cd with
videos. If you haven't checked out Phantom Planet, you should, and
if you have the first version, it is worth it to get this version
too, if you're a fan.

TV Eyes are still on the lookout for a label to
release their record.
Falkner is still in the studio backed by money from a
major label (that's all i can divulge at the moment!)
and has already completed several songs. he hopes to
be done in a few months.
xo!

Any news on when Jason's next solo (or TV Eyes) release is likely to be?
Last I heard, he was recording some stuff over the summer.
Cheers,
Matt.

remove (by accident) our self proclaimed (and some would say worthy
of the title) saviour POWERPOPGOD. i have of course reinvited ppg to
join us and continue the good work. love to all,

And if nothing happens with this major label, can we expect a self
released effort on the internet? I sure hope so.
hello all, just a quick message to tell you all that i spoke to jason

the TV eyes cd is also being shopped and interest is also forthcoming
from a few labels, which is good news. i am going to be doing a
feature on jason for a magazine a write for soon so i will keep you
updated as and when it happens!!!

Hello all, I am the Power Pop God. I have been watching over all in
the Power Pop Kingdom and have made a 'change' in the way I do
business. I have made my heavenly treasure of mp3s available for
those who use BearShare. It will eventually be a more extensive
library of Power Pop and related tracks and albums.....rarities, B
Sides.....etc, etc, etc. But right now, there are tracks ready for
your listening pleasure. If you like some of the bands you
download...preach the word and attend those bands revivals (shows)!!
No more 'praying' that some one will trade music with you or that you
can even 'find' the music anywhere to purchase.
To access: download Bearshare and search for files with !!! (3
exclamation marks) on it or the actual track name. It will be the
tracks I have posted. I try to stay on 24/7 but Power Pop God has
other musical needs to attend to. Some of you will disagree with
my 'sharing' of my library, but I am The Power Pop God, so it does
not matter.
Bless you my children,
Power Pop God
