A group to enable researchers to Seek AND Share information relating to Family, Social, and Local History in West Wiltshire, England. Also a place to store records relating to this area.
(Other groups cover North Wilts and South Wilts. Individual Wiltshire Hundreds Groups have also now been formed).
In general the area covered is that part of Wiltshire bounded by the Dorsetshire County Boundary in the South as far as but West of the A338 thence North including Salisbury but West of the A345 linking Salisbury to and including AMESBURY as the Eastern extremity; then West of the A345 road to UPAVON then continuing South and West of the A342 to and including DEVIZES thence North to CHIPPENHAM west of the A342 A4 continuing West, south of the A420 to the boundary with Gloucestershire. The Western boundary is the county borders of Somerset and Gloucestershire.
