Haven Gateway/M11 Officer

Haven Gateway in north east Essex/south Suffolk and M11 Corridor are two new Growth Areas - in addition to Thames Gateway which the Trust already covers. The post aims to ensure that good areas for conservation survive and are improved for both wildlife and people through green infrastructure and good biodiversity work. You need to understand key biodiversity habitats and species and want to negotiate with partners and funders to make improvements happen in town and countryside. Salary up to £20,581 p.a. + Pension + Travel  Interviews will be held 8 May 2007

Records Officer

The Records Officer will establish and maintain a reliable database of biological records and co-ordinate and lead on good monitoring across Essex. You will ensure the quality of data which will support conservation work, habitat management, planning matters and research for both the Trust and other partners. You need experience in conservation, good people skills and proficiency in appropriate IT. Salary up to £19,903 p.a. + Pension + Travel  Interviews will be held 4 May 2007

Abbotts Hall Farm Warden

An exciting opportunity to work on this 800 acre farm near Colchester which has a large coastal realignment project of new saltmarshes and a working arable farm. You will work alongside the Farm Manager (who covers the arable crops) to ensure maximum benefits for wildlife and communication with a wide range of people. You need good people skills, conservation background and extensive skills in land management. You need to live in Warden's House (3 bedroom). Salary up to £19,742 p.a. + Pension + Travel  Interviews will be held 8 May 2007

Langdon Reserves Officer

A new 3 day week post to take on a 40 acre extension to the large Langdon Nature Reserve near Basildon. Based at the nearby Visitor Centre, you will organise the extensive capital works on this new land, run the site and work with other Trust staff and volunteers. A
real chance to benefit both wildlife and people. You need to understand practical habitat management, have a flair for engaging volunteers and local communities and work well with partners. Salary up to £11,880 p.a. (3 day week) + Pension + Travel  Interviews will be held 10 May 2007
