Adult Learners' Week 2005 : 21 to 27 May
Adult Learners' Week is an opportunity for all organisations that
offer any form of adult learning activity to either present a special
promotional activity, or to label their existing learning activities
as 'Adult Learners Week' activities. There will be thousands of
events across the country, with people learning in colleges, local
shops and supermarkets, factories and businesses, libraries and
museums, community centres and adult education colleges.

Cultural Diversity Day - get educated
21 May has been designated as Cultural Diversity Day - but what
does it mean?
England is so rich in all its diversity - from art to dance to
food and fashion but we don’t take time out to recognise and celebrate
it. Cultural Diversity Day gives platform for people to come together
to share thoughts, experiences, practice and knowledge.
A free cultural diversity guide to give you ideas, tips and hints
on planning your day is available now. Download the guide below or
request a Guide via email.

Learners' National Day of Action - Tuesday 24 May 2005
The day seeks to involve adult learners in organising special
events, taking action and speaking out. We hope you will work with us
to get more learners involved in spreading the word about learning
opportunities, taking part in debates, reaching out and inspiring new
learners and sharing in the decisions that affect their learning.
In the National Day of Action pack, we offer some guidelines
for learners which gives ideas for activities, working with the media
and some tips on fundraising. This pack can be downloaded at:
