Action Learning Taster Days
The Government's ChangeUp document, published by the Home Office in
2004 urges voluntary and community organisations to use Action
Learning to tackle key organisational challenges such as funding,
performance improvement and workforce development. Action Learning
also builds the confidence and motivation of both leaders and teams
allowing them to progress in their roles and careers.
So what is Action Learning?
Action Learning is a tool that is used widely in the private and
public sectors. Action Learning brings small groups of people together
to learn with and from each other. Participants present troubling
problems or exciting opportunities from their workplace and develop
action plans for implementation. Action Learning can work within an
organisation or across relevant networks to build new partnerships.
Action Learning can be used by managers, development staff, trustees,
volunteers. It can also be used with service users.
How do I find out more?
The best way to discover more about Action Learning is to attend a
Taster Day. These give you an opportunity to learn a little about the
theory behind Action Learning but mainly to have a go and allow you to
see how flexibly it could be used to benefit you and your
organisation.
Where do Taster Days take place?
Taster Days are available across England and Wales - see the calendar.
