Developing Multi-Ethnic Partnerships
Tuesday, 27th April, 10am-4pm
at HVA, 92 Dalston Lane, Hackney E8 1NG
NB - some places left on this course TOMORROW (all details as below).
WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO WORK TOGETHER?
HVA have organised a one day training workshop in collaboration with BASSAC and BTEG aimed at management committee members and trustees, directors and project managers of voluntary organisations.
** Why is this training needed?
Initiatives that involve a collaboration of 2 or more organisations are fast becoming the norm. Partnerships between the black and white-led voluntary and community organisations as well as mainstream agencies can provide a wealth of knowledge and experiences that can only help to strengthen the voluntary sector as a whole - but it also has its challenges.
** What will the Workshop provide?
* Detailed yet easy to understand guide on how to build and maintain a partnership
* Practical application of partnership working through interactive group exercises
* Discussions on cultural issues to help promote multi-ethnic partnerships
** By the end of the workshop you will understand:
* The different types of partnerships which exist
* The tools and skills required to find and approach potential partners
* How to use diagnostic tools for building and maintaining your partnership
* A greater awareness on just what it takes to make multi-ethnic partnerships work
