Spending Less, Earning More
Publishers Forum Conference 2004
19 November 2004 at NCVO Conference Suite, 8 All Saints Street
Sponsored by the Publishing Training Centre
Voluntary and community organisations are increasingly aware of the
limitations of charitable donations and time-limited funding and are
relying more heavily on earned income. Selling publications can be an
excellent way for a charity to package and market its intellectual
property.
This form of social enterprise, known as 'mission-related trading',
enables charities to extend their services in a self-financing manner
and simultaneously generate a surplus to make money for other
activities undertaken within the organisation.
Aimed at publications managers and organisations considering selling
publications in the future, this conference will look at ways to cut
costs and earn more from your publishing.
The event will focus on real-life case studies and aims to offer
practical tips on how you can cut costs and boost income.
There will be opportunities for discussion and networking, and lunch
and refreshments will be provided.
