Congratulations to Midland Area who on Sunday 25th January 2009 elected a new area committee as follow
Chair - Erica Knight
Administrator - James Oliver
Treasurer - Corinna Teale
Memberships Officer - Mark Hewson
Publicity Officer - Adam Redshaw
Corinna Teale was also elected as SADY Coordinator for 2009, & James Oliver elected as Web content moderator for Midland Area.
However the following positions however remain vacant, see Erica Knight if you wish to fill them.

Also the the conference voted upon two motions
Motion One
That Midland Area to pay the £15.00 Day Delegate Fee - Option 2 - for two delegates from each Midland Area Member Group"
Proposed:
Motion Two
The following shall be appended to the National Standing Orders: the
National AGM shall not be held in the territory of the same Area two
years in succession.
Conference decided to reject this motion.
It was also agreed that Midland Area would propose a motion to National Annual General Meeting in February that would allow non members be invite to attend National Scale Events with certain restrictions in place.
Motion as follows
Midland Area propose that;
"Non-members be eligible to attend National Scale Weekend events subject to the following;
a) A non-member is only entitled to attend a maximum of two events in any 12 month period without joining.
b) An additional fee of £20.00 per event is levied
c) A National Scale Event is defined in line with the National Constitution and Standing Orders (Rules of engagement for events organised or funded by several parties)
d) If a non-member joins within a month of the event they have attended then the £20.00 is re-imbursed.
e) Non-members must be endorsed by an existing Member who is responsible for the behaviour of that individual.
