A summary of what happened at the 23rd Conference which happened on Sunday 13th January  2008

Two motions were passed at the conference

Motion One
Combined the role of Competition officer and Activities officer in to a new role of Events Co-ordinator

Motion Two
That Midland Area will pay for the first twenty people to sign up the Focus day training event in February 24th at Leamington Spa


Francis Wallington gave the conference a brief run down of the Focus Day Training on the 24th February explaining that it would be made up of two session,  the morning session will be called FISH, based around a Seattle fish market, in the afternoon the session will be World cafe meeting focusing on PLUS in what it needs to recruit and retain new members.


New Midland Area Committee elected to serve Midland Area from the 1st February 2008 to 31st January 2009

Midland Area would like to hear from any person in Midland Area who would like the challenge to open either a new group or a new Quest group in the Midland Area


The conference also at the end thanked Adam Redshaw out going chairman for his hard work over the past 18 months in steering Midland Area through the new set-up of Area lead option and his hard work in attending all the other meetings which goes with the job such as NEC meetings and organising Brean in 2007.
