levels of each student. It may sound crazy, but maybe there
shouldn't even be levels. That maybe we should just teach English
and let the students progress at there own paces.
It doesn´t sound crazy at all. There are many English teachers and students
frustrated on having to depend on coursebooks. We should look at our students
first, as you obviuosly have been doing. We can´t let coursebooks block us off
fromt he people we see in the classroom.
While the course books may have some benefits they don´t know who are learners
are. So they shouldn´t dominate what is done in the class. Unfortunately, this
is what is happening at the moment all over the world, but when you start to put
the books down and listen to your students you will be able to see what their
needs are.
