I am an avid antique golf ball collector and have been for 10 years.
In about 2000 I purchased a Dunlop Junior bramble at a Phillips
auction that was part of a lot. I was not aware that there was
anything peculiar to this lot until I examined the balls later.
The ball has written on it in pen- J Braid Sep 11, 1910 Worsley Park
and a 72(assume that is the score he shot that day. I have no other
provenance for this ball other than that.
I am aware that James Braid designed Worsley Golf Course.
I was wondering if there are any History of the course and/or
newspaper that I could research to check the provenace of the ball.
If anyone there could be of assistance I would appreciate it.
Thank You
Mike
