We were going to go and see the Merlin 3 engine from the crash of
Spitfire P7593 in the barn at Windygates Farm, near the Roaches this
week. WE got permission to look at the crash site, but the Engine has
been taken away by some people who said it was going to "Derby
Aviation Museum". There is no such museum, but there are a couple of
museums that might be so described. Neither of them have heard of the
engine. Anyone know anything?
