thanks for the response, this sounds very interesting. has anyone
thought of running a metal detector around the area! I bet they have?
will check out my info to see if I come up with anything else!

Found a piece of aircraft wreckage during very low tide at Lee-on-
Solent. turned out to be part of a Sunderland that exploded just
after take from Calshot enroute to India. Just goes to show what you
can find!
