Re: [Wreck Hunters forum] Re: spitfire mkVB to be found

Hi Dennis, Just a shortie.. Im delighted to hear from you! I am slowly working
towards the recovery of whats left of my Grandfather's Spitfire Mk VB (stationed
at RAF Angle. ) His Squadron Leader and himself had to ditch due to poor met
information..

I have exact location of MK144 and am keen to come up to whales to visit the
site.. its just south east of Angle Aprox 15 miles.

My Grandfather returned to it the next day, and it was 'written off' and
buried..

So,
I am looking to do Two things..
put a group together for two projects..

1)
I am a student Filmmaker and a Keen Historian. I am planning to produce two
series of documentrys based around British second world war history in the south
coast. One of these will be based on the search and recovery of my Grandfather's
Spitfire, and the History of the 312 Squadron which served in several welsh
airfields during the second world war.

2) A team of volunteers is needed to assist in the recovery of the craft
'legally'. I must make sure that the old bird is 'ok'd for departure so to
speak? this is a grey area for me.. so any advice if known would be greatfully
recieved!

well! 'a short note?' heh!

Thanks for writing.. Hope to hear again!
